Sophie Watson BA


Sophie has worked for CPAT since 2007, having pursued a successful career as a field archaeologist for the York Archaeological Trust and the Ironbridge Gorge Museum. She is an experienced excavator of sites of all types and periods, and particularly on complex urban and industrial sites. Since joining the Trust Sophie has worked in a variety of roles, including dealing with agri-environment schemes and other heritage management tasks. In recent years she has returned to the front line of commercial archaeology services. As well as delivering a range of desk- and field-based assessment projects, Sophie leads the Trust’s archiving policy and practice, and is a skilled illustrator.
