We offer a complete archaeology and cultural heritage service to private-sector clients large and small in England and Wales. These include excavations, evaluations, building recording, survey and desk-based studies.
Outreach and Education
We work with a wide range of groups and individuals providing a variety of learning and outreach experiences for all ages. These include fieldwork experience, placements, talks and support for projects.
We maintain the regional Historic Environment Record, deliver planning services for local authorities, and undertake heritage management work for Welsh Government and other bodies.

Our hillfort at Beacon Ring
Since 2008 we have owned the hillfort at Beacon Ring, which is on Long Mountain overlooking Welshpool in Wales. We are actively researching and managing this monument to act as an exemplar for conservation.
Society is constantly changing and evolving. Our projects add value by enabling a better future to be created on the foundations of past achievements.
New infrastructure – roads or renewable energy – new housing (or re-purposing of existing buildings), may all impact on the historic environment. Our role is to manage the interface between old and new, understanding and protecting archaeology and cultural heritage to enable sustainable development.
Please have a look at some project highlights to see how we have achieved this for different clients in a variety of circumstances.
Over the last 40 years our project work has given us an unparalleled knowledge of the Clwyd-Powys region and archaeology across both England and Wales. As well as the cumulative knowledge provided by locally-focussed projects, we have also undertaken a series of pan-regional studies of historic landscapes, settlements and churches.
