Overview

Sophie Cooledge

Project Archaeologist

Sophie has been a professional archaeologist operating in commercial practice for five years, after graduating in MArts Archaeology from Bangor University in 2017.

Sophie joined CPAT as a Project Archaeologist from Brython Archaeology, where she did her traineeship in fieldwork and worked on many sites, excavating mainly Welsh prehistoric and early Romano-British remains. Until now her work has been exclusively in North Wales, and she has a particular interest in Welsh prehistory. In the past she has had experience in a number of different roles with Bangor University and in the Storiel museum, and likes the opportunity of working with new people and volunteers at CPAT.
