HISTORIC ENVIRONMENT ADVISORY SERVICES
Historic Environment Advisory Services provide Planning Services for local authorities, developers and other bodies; undertake Heritage Management work for Welsh Government, local authorities, landowners, developers and others; and maintain the regional Historic Environment Record (HER). The solutions provided by the Historic Environment Services team enable sustainable development and economic growth. Impacts on archaeology and cultural heritage are carefully balanced against improvements to services, infrastructure and communities in Wales to ensure the well-being of future generations.

Beacon Ring
Since 2008 we have owned the hillfort at Beacon Ring, which is on Long Mountain overlooking Welshpool. We are actively researching and managing this monument to act as an exemplar for conservation.
