PRN 44458 - Welshpool, Greenfields 20, prefabricated bungalow

Sheet asbestos bungalow with pitched roof of sheet asbestos (ridge of roof curved), built on a concrete raft. Post-war prefab. of the 'Arcon' type. Original front door and window frames, although some glass replaced and other panes broken. Short, off-centre chimney just below ridge of roof towards front of building. Second door on short wall facing no. 21 (NNE facing). Part of rear of building obscured by trees, one window visible. Large gap in rear wall c.2m wide. Internal partitioning walls, wallpaper and fitted cupboard/drawers visible within. Short wall facing no.19 Greenfields (SSW facing) obscured by trees and shrubs, but no windows/doors apparent. Together with no. 21 (PRN 44459) no. 20 stands on a plot of land owned by Montgomeryshire Council who have fenced the rear of the plot and blocked the gap between the two prefabs to make a yard (CPAT, 2002).

Proposed listing rejected 27/1/03 (Cadw, 2003).

Demolished February 2003.
