Mid-way down the street.
Early C19, and probably originally built as shops with accommodation over. Painted brick with slate roof; old tiled roof to rear. A symmetrical pair, each a single window range. Shop front occupies entire ground floor: shop entrances to either side of
central doorway - all with 6-panelled doors - and shallow bow windows with small panes to either side. The whole is articulated by simple pilasters flanking the windows, and coupled to either side of the central doorway, with continuous fascia. Upper
windows are 12-pane sashes with flat-arched heads. Rear elevation has 2 small-paned iron casement windows with single ring cambered brick heads on each floor.
A pair of simple early C19 buildings which retain much of their original character, including their original shop fronts which are excellent examples of their type.
