Shaft marked on OS map of 1903. Visible as a 5m infilled hole with remains of winding gear structure surviving as two lengths of well constructed parallel walls. Surviving to c. 2.8m high. Iron winding mechanism at end of S wall.

Shaft marked and fenced off. (Forest Enterprise Welsh Heritage Assets Project survey, 1998)
