PRN 88736 - Ffrith, Offa's Dyke, finds II

IN 1933 DESTRUCTION OF PART OF THE DYKE JUST S OF THE TRENCH CUT BY FOX RESULTED IN ROMAN FINDS BEING FOUND.

Ten yards of the dyke were completely cleared, and a further 3 to 6 yards on either side partly cleared, in order to make an entrance into a new playing field for children. Pottery (probably Samian) and coins were noted (Davies, E, 1949, pp233).
