Watching brief carried out by Earthworks Archaeological Services in 2000 during groundworks associated with the construction of a new dwelling on land opposite Rock Cottage. The development site was formerly used for the production of lime and the remains
of 2 lime burning kilns have been incorporated into the southern retaining wall which delimits the development site (Walker, W S, 2000).
