NGR :- SJ2847155329 (SJ25NE)
Unitary authority :- Flintshire

Whilst digging foundations for Arosfa House in 1910 a Roman plastered wall was found.

Roman mortared and plastered limestone wall, cattle bones, charcoal, fragments of hypocaust tiles and Samian and other pottery found during digging of foundations for "Arosfa". The wall seems to have continued to the east (under the road) and south (Davies, E, 1949, pp232).

Blockley suggests that a section of hypocaust was also found, and notes 'flue arch 1910' on his plan (Blockley, K, 1989a).
