Wendy has worked for CPAT since 1985. She was initially involved in excavation, post-excavation, finds processing and reporting, but has subsequently gained extensive experience of a wide variety of fieldwork and survey projects undertaken by the Trust. Since 1995 she has been employed principally with the Historic Environment Advisory Services section of CPAT, providing assistance with Planning Services for local for local authorities and developers, but she still maintains a keen interest in archaeological fieldwork, excavation and building survey.
Wendy has a BA (Hons) in Archaeology (University of Wales, Cardiff). She has lived and worked in Wales for most of her life and has a strong love of the Welsh mountains, countryside, language and culture. She has learned Welsh as a second language and she enjoys the ongoing challenge to achieve complete fluency. In her spare time Wendy enjoys mountain walking and trekking in snowy alpine terrain.
