PRN 4842 - Clawdd y Coed Mill

Water mill, overshot cast iron water wheel, 3.66m diam., with wooden arms and paddles. Fed by wooden sluice, mostly destroyed. No wheel housing apparent.The tithe map of 1839 gives no indication of a mill here when the property was owned by Sir William Watkins Wynn (T1839). When visited in 1978, this mill had an overshot cast iron waterwheel with wooden arms and paddles fed from a wooden sluice mostly destroyed (CPAT 1978).
