Pre 17th-18th. Reservoir c. 27 x 7m defined by earthwork banks on 3 sides. Leat 18600 assumed to be associated.

Excavation and sampling by Simon Timberlake in 2002 (PRN 49994). Basal sealed peat infills from leat exit sampled for C14 dating. This resulted in a date of 990 +/- 50 yrs BP (Cal AD980-1170 at 95%). Note: the peat from which the sample was taken must have formed after activity at the site had ceased, making the use of this feature in mining earlier than the above dates (Timberlake, S, 2002).
