Pwll-glas

Pwll-glas lies in the community of Trefeglwys in the county of Powys. It is located at Ordnance Survey national grid reference SN97408929. The mine is recorded in the CPAT Historic Environment Record as number 18997 and this number should be quoted in all correspondence.

Lead trial (19th century ?)

Geology
Silurian Frongoch formation dark shales/mudstones with quartz mineralisation. No galena or other ores were apparent in the spoil.

A single shaft and surrounding spoilheaps.

Comments
This is probably a failed attempt to locate an eastern extension of the Van lode.
