Union Mary Jane Shaft lies in the community of Halkyn in the county of Flintshire. It is located at Ordnance Survey national grid reference SJ19907140. The mine is recorded in the CPAT Historic Environment Record as number 18251 and this number should be quoted in all correspondence.

Carboniferous Limestone.

Smith (1921) refers to the Mary Jane Shaft working the Union Vein in this area. The site forms part of the intense workings on Halkyn Mountain.
