Clwyd Metal Mines Survey


Bryngwyn lies in the community of Gwernymynydd in the county of Flintshire. It is located at Ordnance Survey national grid reference SJ21406180. The mine is recorded in the CPAT Historic Environment Record as number 18022 and this number should be quoted in all correspondence.

Lead (Early 19th century-1873)

Carboniferous Limestone and Cefn-y-fedw Sandstone flats.

Evidence of the quarry incline remains on the limestone ridge and the line of the incline can be traced downhill to its winding wheelpit base at SJ21306109.
