CPAT visits group for the visually impaired

Group members holding archaeological artefacts

CPAT staff attended the August meeting of the Welshpool Visually Impaired Club, held in the Catholic Church Hall. The Club provides support and social opportunities for blind people and those with impaired vision. In discussion with group organiser Monica Graeme, Jeff Spencer took the opportunity to use CPAT's handling collection so everyone could get a feel of some archaeological finds. Items were passed around for handling and their use and age were discussed. The finds acted as prompts for several interesting and lively conversations!
