COMMUNITY ROOM

In our Welshpool office there is a bright, airy space for the community to use. Launching fully in 2019, here are some of the planned activities and events.

Charity Fundraisers

Following successful events in 2018 for Macmillan’s  Biggest Coffee Morning and a festive Mind “Crafternoon”, we’ll be hosting more charity fundraising events.

Creative Classes

Archaeology and art go hand in hand – from artefact recording to interpreting cave paintings – and we’ll be using art to explore the past in classes and clubs for all ages.

Art and Artefact Exhibitions

Featuring work from some of our Unloved Heritage youth panel, local artists, and photography from across Clwyd-Powys, the Community Room becomes a temporary gallery.

Recording Oral History

Memories of people, places, and events are vital archives of Welsh life – we’ll be hosting regular social gatherings and oral history training sessions to preserve these memories.
